The SPECTRO Texas Division, formerly ASOMA Instruments, has been making rugged wood analyzers since 1986. With the introduction of the LCA (Low Cost Analyzer), the analyzers have continually improved throughout the years. The LCA evolved over time to the Model 100 and Model 200 isotope analyzers to the Model 200T X-ray tube analyzer in 1991. Now, the addition of the PHOENIX X-ray tube wood analyzer in 2003 only shows SPECTRO determination in continuing to improve the time-tested durability of the ASOMA product line.
The SPECTRO PHOENIX can quickly and accurately provide analyses of a wide variety of wood treatment products. Working with the American Wood Preservers’ Association (AWPA) and a number of chemical suppliers, the SPECTRO PHOENIX is supplied pre-calibrated for a variety of products in wood or solution including CCA, Copper Oxide, Copper Azole, Copper Naphthenate, Penta and Zn borate.
Furthermore, with changing environmental regulations around the world, the PHOENIX can be readily adapted to analyze many of the new wood preservatives that are being tested, such as sulfur, silicon or tin. The SPECTRO Texas Division remains committed to providing wood treatment and testing facilities with unwavering support to adapt to these regulatory changes and to continue to offer a low-cost, durable analyzer for the wood treating industry.
